Research area
My research interests include microfluidic cell culture, organoids and mechanobiology, with a focus on microengineered human bone organoids on a chip for medical applications.
Born in Austria, Doris received her BSc degree in Health Sciences and Technology from ETH Zurich in 2019. During her Master studies in Biomedical Engineering at ETH, she worked as a research intern at the Max Planck Institute for Medical Research in Stuttgart, Germany focusing on droplet-based microfluidic technology. Back at ETH, she joined the Laboratory for Bone Biomechanics at the Institute of Biomechanics in 2020 for her Semester Project and Master Thesis. Since November 2021 she is a PhD student in the laboratory supervised by Prof. Dr. Xiao-Hua Qin and Prof. Dr. Ralph Müller.
