2021 Global Undergraduate Award for Jenny Gehlen

Congratulations to Jenny Gehlen, who was selected as the Global Winner in the 2021 Global Undergraduate Award program for her Bachelor Thesis entitled "Functional Analysis of Volumetrically 3D Bioprinted Bone-like Tissues", which she conducted in the Laboratory for Bone Biomechanics at ETH Zurich with Dr. Xiao-Hua Qin as her advisor.  

Her thesis was awarded the highest score in the Life Sciences category among more than 2000 submissions and will be presented at the UA Global Summit in Dublin in November. She graduated recently with distinction from Karolinska Institutet in Sweden and ETH Zürich with a B.Sc. in Biomedicine. She was awarded with a 4-year fast-track PhD fellowship in the London Interdisciplinary Doctoral Training Programme at UCL and King's College London.
