Congratulations to Xiao-Hua Qin for having been appointed as Assistant Professor of Biomaterials Engineering in the Department of Health Sciences and Technology and hosted in the lab of Ralph Müller. He will start 1 February 2024 in his new position.

ESB Travel Award for Julia Griesbach
Congratulations to Julia Griesbach, a doctoral candidate at the Laboratory for Bone Biomechanics, who was selected for a 2022 ESB Travel Award from the European Society of Biomechanics (ESB) for her abstract “Patient specific osteogenesis imperfecta bone organoids demonstrate increased tissue mineralization”.
Jess Snedeker promoted to Full Professor
Jess Snedeker has been promoted to Full Professor of Orthopaedic Biomechanics as of 1 April 2022. Jess has been an associate professor in the same field at the University of Zurich since 2011, also as a dual professor with ETH Zurich where he is an integral part of the Institute for Biomechanics at the Department of Health Sciences and Technology.
